About Us
Western Australia Amputee Sports Program (WAASP) is a not-for-profit charity that has emerged out of the pursuit to inspire and support individuals in our community with limb loss. WAASP has been designed for amputees to partake in sports days, provide mentorship programs, identify future athletic pathways for amputees and provide education to allied health professionals who assist in treating amputees.

Provide sporting days and clinics that include education and training opportunities for optimal mobility, running, balance, yoga and boxing, to name a few.

Provide group sessions from physiotherapists and exercise physiologists on gait and optimal biomechanics for running and walking.

Provide mentorship opportunities and listen to inspirational stories from other amputees.

Establish a sporting community for amputee’s in Perth, Western Australia.

Provide networking opportunities and professional development education health care practitioners working with people with limb loss.
